We are still accepting appointments for essential eyecare but also now for more routine appointments, however priority is still allocated for urgent and essential appointments first. The safety of our patients and staff are our first priority and for this reason we are still operating with some restrictions in place.
What does this mean?
- We will be accepting appointments for urgent or essential eye problems:
- Essential includes where you have broken your spectacles beyond repair and you have not had an eye test for 2 years or more.
- You are experiencing blurred vision for distance or near with your current glasses (if you wear any)
- For details on urgent eye conditions please see the information on Minor Eye Conditions.
- The store will remain open but we will be operating a locked door policy during clinic hours.
- You will need to book an appointment for spectacle dispensing.
- We will accept damaged or broken spectacles for repair or replacement, please try to avoid bringing these in on Thursday which is clinic day.
- We are now accepting appointments for contact lens aftercares for our existing patients.
- If you have an urgent eye problem please call the practice on 01376 337242. (If you are currently under the care of an Eye Hospital we request you contact the eye clinic in the first instance).
We will be reviewing this policy on an ongoing basis together with current government advice. In the meantime stay safe and well.
