{"id":1,"date":"2017-05-23T16:38:51","date_gmt":"2017-05-23T15:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress-eos.eu-west-2.elasticbeanstalk.com\/?p=1"},"modified":"2021-01-12T15:42:43","modified_gmt":"2021-01-12T15:42:43","slug":"hello-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admin.coggeshalleyecentre.co.uk\/?p=1","title":{"rendered":"Am I entitled to a free NHS eye test?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4>You qualify for a free NHS-funded sight test if:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>you&#8217;re aged under 16<\/li><li>you&#8217;re aged 16, 17 or 18 and are in full-time education<\/li><li>you&#8217;re aged 60 or over<\/li><li>you&#8217;re registered as partially sighted (sight impaired) or blind (severely sight impaired)<\/li><li>you&#8217;ve been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma<\/li><li>you&#8217;re 40 or over and your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter has been diagnosed with glaucoma<\/li><li>you&#8217;ve been advised by an eye doctor (ophthalmologist) that you&#8217;re at risk of glaucoma<\/li><li>you&#8217;re a prisoner on leave from prison<\/li><li>you&#8217;re eligible for an NHS complex lens voucher \u2013 your optometrist (optician) can advise you about your entitlement<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>You&#8217;re also entitled to a free NHS sight test if you:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>receive Income Support<\/li><li>receive Income-based Jobseeker&#8217;s Allowance (not contribution-based)<\/li><li>receive Pension Credit Guarantee Credit<\/li><li>receive income-based Employment and Support Allowance<\/li><li>are awarded Universal Credit and meet the criteria on earnings limit<\/li><li>are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate<\/li><li>you are named on a valid NHS certificate for full help with health costs (HC2)<\/li><li>People named on an NHS certificate for partial help with health costs (HC3) may also get help.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Optometrists recommend that most people should get their eyes tested every two years.
